William Parson

William Parson started studying piano at age 6 with Bobbie Rastall. Since fall 2022, he has studied with Dr. Alice Lee at Frederick Community College as a recipient of the George L. Shields Music Scholarship. In addition to keyboard instruments, William plays the trombone, studying with Dr. Brian Hinkley. William has played in many instrumental ensembles, including the Hood College Wind Ensemble, the All-County Concert Band and Jazz Band, and the Maryland All-State Senior Concert Band and Senior Jazz Band. He is a senior at Urbana High School, where he is a member of the Tri-M chamber music ensemble. William plans to continue his music studies in college.
