Aiai is currently a junior at Brown University, studying Neuroscience and History with a focus on the history of medicine. Aiai started the HOPE Concert with Wendy after the COVID-19 pandemic prevented her from volunteering in-person at the Shepherd’s Field Children’s Village, maintained by the Philip Hayden Foundation. Musically, Aiai studied the guzheng for 13 years and was a key player for the Washington Guzheng Society in which she frequently performed at cultural events. In founding the HOPE Concert, Aiai hopes to spread joy and advocate for children from disadvantaged backgrounds in a creative space.
