Maya Classon

Dvořák’s The AmericaMaya Classon is a third-year college student from Columbia, Maryland. She has been playing cello for 13 years in various orchestras, chamber groups, and seasonal concerts. Her favorite classical piece is a toss-up betweenn String Quartet and Chopin’s Ballade No. 1. Maya organizes weekly concerts at senior centers in the Baltimore area and hosts jam sessions for students in her music club. She also enjoys singing in her school’s gospel choir and harmonizing to Monkees songs.
